Day of Caring

The second annual United Way of Lee County Day of Caring will take place on October 11, 2024. Day of Caring is a community service event where volunteers come together to support local non-profits, schools, and community organizations. It involves various hands-on projects, such as painting, cleaning, landscaping, and other activities that help improve the community. 

This year, we have even more ways to give back with two donation drives. The details are as follows: 

Community Market Diaper Drive
Where: Auburn University Administrative Complex Building
1550 E Glenn Ave
When: 10/7 - 10/11 at noon
What: diapers sizes 4, 5, 6, 7

Worthy2 Art Therapy Drive
Where: Office of Samantha Copelan; Attorney at Law
508 Fox Run Pkwy
When: 10/7 - 10/11 at noon
What: Art therapy items for their clients/individuals in their care to receive new gifts for the holidays. The items they are asking for include: 

  • $25 gift cards (TJ Maxx, Target, Kroger, Walmart, Kohl's, Marshalls) 
  • Journal sets (Journal and Pens) 
  • Individual throw blankets
  • Art supplies (Coloring books and supplies, bracelet making supplies, painting supplies, beginner crochet kits)
